Day 1 entry of my genealogy journal: "Remembering Mom"

My mother Charlotte is totally different than me. Mom spent her life devoted to her four daughters. The center of Mom's life was the four of us, and she was a homemaker. She played with us, and was the caretaker when my father worked away to take care of us.

Mom loves flowers, babies, and her animals. Mom seems to have a natural talent interacting with children. Mom met my father at Carnfix Ferry Battleground State Park in WV, and she was 15 years old. She was one of nine siblings. She has a love of family, which I find amazing. My youngest daughter, Desirae reminds me of my mother with her love of animals. Charlotte is my first love, my mother. I try to talk to Mom every day or several times a week.
